December
2011
December is a busy time in our village and this year is no exception.
The Rotary will be visiting and collecting from Top Nutfield on the 15th and South Nutfield on the 22nd and the village are invited to join in The Carols In The Community concert in the school from 2pm on the 14th.
Lots of money has been raised for good causes this year and it's lovely to be able to report that the Firework Committee were able to divide over £5,000 between the village clubs and charities, the Royal British Legion raised over £3,000 from their collection and over £700 was raised by the village jumble sale and split between the British Legion Poppy Appeal and to help pay for on-going hall repairs.
We hope readers of the Link like this month's colour cover, colour and they keep the price at just £2.50 per year - how do they do it? Look out for your brown envelopes, they'll be popping through your door soon.
All that's left to me is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
As usual if there's anything you'd like to see online please email your ideas to me at webeditor@nutfieldlink.co.uk. Lauren |
